Overview
GetInstantEstimate.com (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates GetInstantEstimate.com (the “Site”). This Policy explains what information we collect when you request an estimate, how we use it, and — most importantly — who we share it with, since matching you with a local contractor is the core of what we do.

Information We Collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code / service address, and details about your project (for example, number of rooms, hallways, stairs, or whether pets are present). We also record the specific consent choices you make — separately, whether you agree to be contacted by phone, and whether you agree to receive marketing email about other home services in your area.

Information collected automatically: when you visit the Site, we (and our analytics and advertising partners) automatically collect some technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring website, through cookies and similar tools including Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity.

How We Use Your Information
To calculate and deliver your estimate. To connect you with the specific local contractor matched to your service area and request. To send you your estimate and related messages about your request. If you’ve opted in, to send you information about additional home services we offer in your area in the future. To measure how our ads and Site are performing, and to detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive submissions.

How We Share Your Information
This is the part that matters most, so we’re stating it plainly:

With your matched contractor. When you submit a request, we share your contact information and project details with the specific local contractor we match you with for that service and area. For example, a carpet cleaning request in Prince William County is shared with JCB Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning so they can follow up and confirm your estimate. This is the core of the Service — without this, we can’t connect you with anyone.

With service providers who help us operate, such as our form, automation, email delivery, and spreadsheet tools. These providers process your information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own independent marketing.

With advertising and analytics platforms (such as Meta and Google), through tracking pixels, so we can measure whether our ads are working. This may be considered “sharing” for advertising purposes under some state privacy laws; you can limit this through your browser or device ad settings.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with any business beyond your matched contractor(s) for that business’s own independent marketing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of GetInstantEstimate.com, our users, or others.

Your Choices
Marketing email: every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Phone contact: if you no longer want to be contacted by your matched contractor, let them know directly, or contact us and we’ll pass that along. Advertising cookies: you can limit ad tracking through your browser settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info. Access or deletion requests: you can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us at hello@getinstantestimate.com. We’ll honor reasonable requests even though, as a small local beta, we may not yet be subject to a specific state privacy law’s formal request process.

Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service, support our contractors, and meet our own recordkeeping needs, and we delete or de-identify it when it’s no longer needed for those purposes.

Data Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

State Privacy Rights
Residents of some states (including Virginia and California) have specific statutory rights over their personal information once a business meets certain size thresholds. As a small, single-county beta, we likely don’t yet meet those thresholds — but we’re describing our practices transparently above regardless, and you can always reach out to us with a request.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here with a new date.
